Terms of Service
Effective May 14, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Gradeyes (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Read Section 6 carefully — it explains what Gradeyes does and doesn’t guarantee.
1. The service
Gradeyes predicts the grade a third-party grading company (CGC, CBCS, MGS, PSA, BGS, SGC, BAS, and similar) is likely to assign to a comic, manga volume, or trading card you photograph. Predictions include a confidence score and a sub-grade breakdown. Gradeyes is an independent tool and is not affiliated with any grading company.
2. Eligibility & account
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use Gradeyes. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for any activity that occurs under it. Keep your sign-in credentials confidential.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Gradeyes to upload content you don’t own or have permission to scan.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the model, scrape outputs at scale, or resell predictions.
- Misrepresent a Gradeyes prediction as an official grade from CGC, PSA, or any other grader.
- Interfere with the Service’s operation or other users’ access.
- Violate any applicable law in your use of the Service.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Consumer subscriptions (Per Scan, Monthly Pro) are sold through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Auto-renewal terms, free-trial behavior, refunds, and cancellation are governed by Apple’s or Google’s subscription policies — you manage these in your store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Dealer subscriptions are sold through our web checkout (Stripe). They renew monthly unless canceled and are pro-rated on cancellation upon request.
5. Outcome reporting
If you receive a real grade from CGC, PSA, or another grader, you can report it back to Gradeyes. We use those outcomes in aggregate to calibrate the model. Reporting an outcome is optional.
6. Predictions are not grades
Gradeyes provides a prediction. It is not an official grade, and it is not a guarantee of the grade you will receive from CGC, CBCS, MGS, PSA, BGS, SGC, BAS, or any other grading company. Predictions can be wrong, especially on edge cases (centering measurement from a hand-held photo, rare variants, restored items). You alone decide whether to submit an item for grading, sell it, or buy it. Gradeyes is not responsible for any submission fee you pay, any price difference you realize, or any transaction you enter into based on a prediction.
7. Intellectual property
Gradeyes and its model, brand, design, and software are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You retain ownership of the photographs you upload; you grant us a limited license to process those photographs to provide the Service, to debug model issues, and to improve calibration in aggregate.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gradeyes and its officers, employees, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from in-app Settings or by emailing support@gradeyes.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
